To partner with families in building a biblical foundation for spiritual growth leading to saving faith in Jesus Christ.
Children are an important part of First Presbyterian Church. We partner with families to provide nurturing, meaningful, and enjoyable experiences through which each child can learn of God's love.
Nursery is offered for infants-3 years old during the 8:30am service, the 10:00am Sunday School hour, the 11:15am service and the 6:00pm service.
Children's Sunday School classes for infant-5th grade meet at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday morning.
Sunday School Dismissal Policy and Online Form
Please take note of the children’s Sunday school dismissal procedures put into place by the Christian Growth and Nurture committee:
-All children birth through three years-old must be picked up by a parent.
-All children K4-4th grade may be picked up by a sibling who is 5th grade or older without a written permission form.
-If a parent would like to give permission for a child to be picked up by a sibling who is younger than 5th grade or for a 3rd-4th grader to leave on their own, they must fill out a permission form.
For your convenience, we have put this dismissal permission form online. Even if you have filled out a dismissal form in the past, we will need an online updated form for our records. Please click here to fill out the form.
Children join a pastor at the front of the church during the 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. worship services for a sermon and prayer.
K4 and K5 children are dismissed from the 11:15 a.m. worship service following the Doxology. Teachers meet them in the narthex and accompany the children to the Education Building Room 103 for a lesson. Parents pickup their children in Room 103 after the service.
