Schedule of Events
Wednesday, March 30
Dinner will be served from 5:00pm to 6:00pm in the Family Life Center.
We will begin our 225+2 Celebration in the Family Life Center at 6:00pm on Wednesday night! There is no registration needed to attend. Overflow will be held in Wardlaw Auditorium.
Dr. Robert Godfrey, Chairman of Ligonier Ministries, will be our keynote speaker during the Kickoff Gathering.
Nursery and children's activities are available for birth-5th grade. No registration is needed. Please drop-off your children as you head to the Family Life Center, and pick them up immediately following the program in the Family Life Center (before the Ice Cream Social).
After the Kickoff Gathering, everyone is invited back to Jackson Hall to enjoy a traditional Ice Cream Social!
Thursday, March 31
A golf tournament will take place at Fort Jackson Golf Club with a shotgun start at 10:30am. Those who aren't participating in the tournament will have the option to join for the breakfast and testimony time from 9:00am to 10:00am before the tournament begins.

On Thursday evening, at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary, the Chancel Choir and Brass Ensemble will lead a celebratory concert, including congregational singing and involvement.
The concert will feature a new setting of Psalm 23 by Philip Stopford commissioned for the 225th Anniversary of the church. Dr. Sinclair Ferguson will give a homily.
A reception in Jackson Hall, hosted by the Women of the Church, will follow the concert.
Childcare is available during the concert for children birth-3 years old. No registration is needed.
Registration is required for the golf tournament and for those who only plan to attend the breakfast and hear from the speaker, and is now closed.
Friday, April 1
On Friday morning, Dr. Sinclair Ferguson and Dr. Robert Godfrey will each present a lecture on the theme of “Defending the Reformed Faith in the 21st Century”. The first lecture will begin at 9:30am in the Sanctuary.
Following the two lectures, lunch will be served in the Family Life Center at 12:15pm. The Question and Answer Panel will begin shortly after, also in the Family Life Center. Dr. Ferguson and Dr. Godfrey will answer the submitted questions with Dr. Thomas acting as moderator.
Please note that due to the large expected attendance, overflow tables for the lunch will be available in Jackson Hall with a live stream of the Q&A Panel.
Saturday, April 2
A day full of activities for all ages! We will begin an exciting day with a special interactive churchyard tour.
This unique tour will feature interviews with many historical First Presbyterians, impersonated by members of our congregation. The tour is led by Mr. Tom Gottshall.

We will also offer a Behind-the-Scenes Tours with a special look at the history of our church.
This will be an in-depth tour of the Sanctuary, our music room, and the history room. We'll hear from Mr. Jack Haynes, Mr. Wilson Farrell, Mr. Thomas Russell, and Dr. Dan Cole. The tour will last between around an hour.

On Saturday from 2:30pm-7:00pm will be our biggest event of the week, our Celebration on the Grounds! Lady Street will be blocked off for a street party with our congregation.
For our kids, the Ministry Building parking lot will be full of activities including a climbing wall, a dunk tank, blow-up slides, a bouncy house and so much more. Local food trucks will be on-hand with desserts as well.
We'll have live music from the Heart 'n Soul band on Lady Street from 4:00pm-7:00pm. We invite you to bring a lawn chair to sit and enjoy the music!
Dinner, a BBQ buffet, will be served from 4:30-6:30 in the Lady Street tent. There is no cost, but please click or tap "Saturday Dinner RSVP" if you plan to attend the dinner, to help us best prepare.
Registration is required for both tours and the dinner.
Sunday, April 3
Dr. Sinclair Ferguson will preach during the 8:30am and 11:15am worship services.
Following the 8:30am service, birthday cake and coffee will be served in the Lady Street Tent. The cake and coffee will be available until the beginning of the 11:15am service.
At 10:00am, we will have a joint Adult Sunday School gathering in the Family Life Center. During this gathering we will hear from Dr. Thomas, along with a few other special activities.
Dr. Robert Godfrey will close out our week by preaching during the 6:00pm evening service. Dinner will follow the evening service in Jackson Hall.

During the week of March 30-April 3, 2022, First Presbyterian Church will celebrate its 225th (+2) anniversary. These events honor our legacy, the work of our current ministries, and set the stage for preserving and expanding these ministries for the next 25 years.
To mark this momentous occasion, the church will host various events ranging from lectures, to music, to a large celebration with activities for the entire family. We look forward to welcoming two esteemed guests for our anniversary celebration: Dr. Sinclair Ferguson and Dr. Robert Godfrey.
