Care TeamsA unique ministry of pastoral care at First Presbyterian is its network of Care Teams.
The purpose of the ministry is to equip people to help people. The goal of the Care Teams is to provide "intentional, sustained caring for persons who are disabled, disadvantaged, or isolated by disease, age and other conditions and is ideally done by organized, trained teams rather than by lone individuals. The Team is a bridge between those who need care and persons who wish to share their gifts and talents doing what they love, when they can, within a proven framework that contains flexibility but also necessary boundaries." (Carolina Care Team Ministry manual, p.1) As Christians we desire to care and show compassion to those in need all to the Glory of God. If you would be interested in participating in a class for care team training in preparation to serve on a Care Team please contact:
